Friday Faves 1.12

Life:

Liv is 12! I can’t plane believe it. She’s officially a *tween* and so bright, intelligent, hilariously sarcastic, and I love her passion for dance, skincare, and music.

She asked for a homemade confection instead of a bakery cake, so P and I made this for her:

We spent the day at the mall for shopping, boba, and ramen with her weightier friend, and then had confection with my mom and nana. Disneyland was her big celebration, so we had a lovely low-key day on her very birthday.

Italki! I was googling ways to practice Spanish and this had spanking-new reviews. The short story is that my mom’s side of the family speaks Spanish, but growing up, I’d unchangingly wordplay in English. I minored in Spanish in college, and would read novels and write essays, but we spent very little time unquestionably speaking. So while I understand it really well and can write, and much prefer Spanish music over English, I don’t have a lot of conviction speaking it.

I signed up for Italki and had my first lesson this week. It felt so nice to unquestionably PRACTICE and get tips from a professional. I’d love to sooner record some Spanish workout videos, or help 1:1 clients in Spanish, so I finger like this is a unconfined stepping stone.

Read, watch, listen:

Latest read. I finger like I can’t read it fast enough; it’s packed with incredible info.  I want to do everything I can do help Mazer have a happy, healthy, long doggy life.

You still have two increasingly chances to join their Reset – I did a full blog post well-nigh it here and you can use XOGINAH for 20% off sitewide. I’ve enjoyed the jackfruit slums taco (sooooo good), protein comic bread, world cider muffin, Thai curry bowl, and all of the delicious, trappy salads.
